A friend just delivered a fistful of daffodils from her garden. For the moment we have only hope in ours in the form of buds waiting to burst. The bad news is that snow is forecast for next week.
You know how much I love snow, but I'm ready to move on. Today is an absolutely gorgeous "spring" day. Just back from the market where I bought an armful of yellow tipped orange-y red tulips which I'm about to put into a couple of vases. Charlotte is sprawled in the grass sunbathing.
All is right with the world.

It is a frosty morning here but we are fortunate to have several clumps of daffodils blooming their hearts out. There is nothing so cheery as a bouquet of flowers.
Savour that sunshine and don't pack away your mitts just yet Tish!
The days of no snow and flowers are way in the future for us here in the north.
I like cut flowers, but tulips only when they are almost closed, like in your picture.
I'm going out to manicure the garden. Somehow running the little electric pruning shears makes me happy. Overcast & chilly here, a Texas winter. xx's Tish
Happy almost spring, Tish! We are officially starting spring in DC this weekend, with temps up in the 60's. Cherry Blossoms aren't far behind! Enjoy your daffodils and tulips!
The 8 or 9 inches or snow we got on Tuesday is really melting today. Spring is just around the corner. Yay!
Enjoy your weekend, Tish!
A very lovely sunny spring day in my corner of the world. We'll be heading out for a drive, and dinner where ever is enticing on the way back.
Have a great weekend Tish. Enjoy the beautiful tulips. Hope Ms. Charlotte is having a good nap while sunbathing.
Happy weekend... Tish ... Enjoy your gorgeous tulips... xv
Love your daffs, and the tulips. As the saying goes 'great minds think alike' my post a few days ago, was of the daffodils bringing sunshine into our rooms.
My corner of France has been forecast to being much colder again, after making us feel like spring had sprung.
Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

Gorgeous...I hope to get some planting done this week.
Gorgeous flowers. We have a fabulous weather here (Florida) almost all year around but no daffodils or tulips in the yards... One cannot have it all and one has to take the best of each place!

Lovely.
In addition to sunshine (hooray!), in the past few days flowers have poked their heads up and shown their faces.
For however long it lasts... quite the relief!
